Myia M. McKenna dedicates her practice to family law and domestic relations matters. Myia's practice areas include adoption, child custody and child support matters, dissolution of marriage and legal separation, post-dissolution proceedings, modifications, paternity actions, domestic relations appeals, and legal issues facing same-sex couples.
Myia received a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in psychology, political science and Spanish, with a minor in sociology, from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999. She received her law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. Myia was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2002 and to the Kansas Bar in 2003. She is member of the Family Law Section of the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Women's Law Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.
She is former member of the Kansas Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, KCMBA Lawyers for Children Committee and Young Lawyers Section, and the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association.
